A biennial trade fair of automobile and auto component manufacturers organized at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, India, the first Auto Expo was held in 1986 and since then, the 11th Auto Expo is here to start off from the 5th of January, 2012. The new year starts with a new expectation from the manufacturers and consumers of automobiles around the world. Auto Expo 2012 is set to draws in an expected 2100 professional exhibitors, looking to gain greater visibility for their vehicles and other related products and accessories. The exhibited items at the show ranges from oils, lubricants, CAD/CAM tools and CNG Units, to garage products, auto-designing solutions, electrical gadgets and vehicle-batteries apart from the latest launch of global Automobile brands in India. Finance and car-insurance companies participate on a regular basis at the show as well.
The highlights of the Auto Expo 2012 are going to be a slew of launches from the house of Maruti Suzuki, Ford Motors, Triumph Motorcycles, Harley Davidson, Renault, Hyundai, and Peugot with special focus on the greener technologies in automotive mobilization. The Auto Expo with more than 1,80,00,000 regular visitors rank as the biggest auto showcase in Asia. The visitors comprise of senior corporate professionals from the automobile industry, together with managers, engineering experts, technicians and general auto-enthusiasts. Auto Expo also features active participation from governmental bodies, transport authorities Indian Embassy with a lot of foreign visitors getting attracted to see the gala event.
