It’s a big big world!

Based on the information gathered, astronomers have now come up with a new map of the the galaxy, Milky Way. Scientists say that our galaxy is about 50 per cent more massive and spins about 100,000 miles per hour faster than they had previously thought. That means that the more mass a galaxy has, the faster it spins. The new study also says that our galaxy has mass which is equal to three trillion suns! So with this study, scientists will have a better understanding of how our galaxy has changed over time with this new and more accurate map.
